Dutchmogul is easily one of the coolest guys in 3d printing on the face of the plate.
This artist not only created a huge amount of fantasy figure models for things like Dungeons and Dragons, but he made everything in the Monster Manual and extra figures and made a tonne of it for FREE.

So of course I had to try one.  A typical D&D miniature of this sort painted by some factory worker costs around $2 so for 11 cents this is pretty amazing.

There is some filament webbing/string on the figure, but otherwise I think this will be great once it is painted up.  You don't get amazing detail as shown in the print file, but I think for the cost range of this printer, it is certainly acceptable.  3D printing just isn't at the level for the micro details to show without getting very technical or expensive.

I ended up printing more of these later but to save a blog post I'm adding it onto this entry.

Here's what it looks like after it is primed.  I used Army Painter's Grey Primer.
As you can see, some of the details are very good and it is definitely acceptable for use in D&D.  If you saw some of those minis, especially the older ones, this may even be better.  For 11 cents...it is quite an amazing deal for making armies.
